NON-DRIVE DRUMS
(TENSION DRUMS)

Non-drive drums (tension drums) are drums that are not driven by the conveyor motor. They are required to adjust the tension as well as to maintain the direction of travel of the conveyor belt.

Non-motorized drums provide stable movement of the conveyor belt and maintain optimum tension. This is important to prevent the belt from shifting or slipping, which can cause damage or stop conveyor operation.

Non-drive drums are available in a variety of diameters and widths, as well as different surface types.

Non-drive drums can be additionally equipped with special sensors. Such sensors of tension or speed allow to control the conveyor operation and promptly react to any deviations. They help to prevent possible emergencies and ensure the safety of personnel.

Auxiliary equipment, such as tension sensors, also allows you to optimize the performance of the conveyor system. They can automatically adjust belt tension based on changes in load or conveyor speed. This helps reduce wear and tear on the belt and other system components, as well as improve operational efficiency.
